It was July this year when I lost a dear friend to cancer and COVID.
We had erratic communication because of her treatment and my then crisis that held me back from being over-sentimental to a person fighting a tougher battle.
Between our irregular chats, she sent me a picture of a beautiful baby boy she gave birth to amid the chemo appointments, emergency room visits, and home recuperation.
It’s amazing just how strong a mother’s endurance can be to carry a life inside her womb when her own is already treading a thin line.
Unfortunately, the little guy wouldn't be able to feel the warmth and care of the person I had the privilege to experience life with.
And it’s the same lonely place that I don’t want another friend of mine to be in...
Peej, recently had her mother diagnosed with breast cancer. 🙁
Their relationship might not be the ideal kind where it’s tender and supportive.
But I don’t want her to lose the only family she’s got left - to be robbed of the chance to cultivate a loving and harmonious bond with her mother that the little boy didn't have.
I believe that so long as we are alive, we have the power to save our troubled relationships.
And this is where we'd like to ask for your help.
As life-threatening as the disease can be, it’s also financially draining to cure. We're raising funds to aid the expensive medical bills, plus the added costs of COVID tests for every session.
If you’d like to help out, here are ways you can do so…
